Fashion heavyweights Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs have a book coming out soon, based on the history of the fashion house under the helm of its founder and later under the magnificent creativity of Jacobs who became artistic director in 1997. It chronicles the highs and lows of the brand from its roots as a simple trunk and bag company to the empire it is today.
The book is available in a “limited edition” and “bookstore edition”. The limited edition features mirror paper and silk-screened portraits of Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton on the hardcover (protected in a laser-cut slipcase) and is only available in six Louis Vuitton stores worldwide come this April. The bookstore edition has the same content (without all that cover art jazz) and is available in book retailers worldwide this April.
Here is a sample of what you will see in the upcoming book.
I am hoping to see a “limited edition” copy in my local Louis Vuitton store come April. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for reading.
